Malik Taylor, aka Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest, died today. Passed away at 45. Whenever you hear about something like this, it’s a bit out of the blue. And I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer, but if feels like tons of people are dropping like flies all around me, family included, so it’s a bit hard for me to just pass it off without wanting to say some things. Here’s some crap from an unimportant, non-influential like myself. Continue reading Scholar and gentleman, Phife Dawg, passes away at 45
It’s been about a year and some change since I last attempted to write anything on this site. Why so long, you might ask? Well, a lot of things have happened since then. I had a falling out with some acquaintances, my mother died, my aunt died, my brother-in-law’s father died. I basically got caught up in my personal life and lost all motivation for anything that didn’t involve me retreating inside of my own inept shell. Continue reading See you in hell.
There’s this movie coming out next year called Avengers: Age of Ultron. You might have heard about it. If you haven’t, then being un-American is a problem you should seriously have someone look into. Being the sequel to the first Avengers movie, Age of Ultron has the pleasure of being pretty high on every comic book fan’s bucket list until mid-2015. That being said, the spotlight lately hasn’t been on the movie itself, but the trailer. And that has led to what I can only describe as dumb people being so dumb. It seems as though Android’s bid to add more consistency to their mobile strategy could already be dead. Android Silver was a program initially announced as a way to bring the stock Android experience to more users through the actual wireless carriers. The OS would have been completely managed by Google, including updates, while the rest of the industry would be responsible for providing premium hardware. A specific set of guidelines would be set in place to be followed in order to qualify for the program, while companies would be provided with R&D support and monetary compensation. Sounds like a Googlefan’s wet dream doesn’t it? Continue reading Is the Android Silver program already dead?

I managed to get sick recently over Labor Day weekend. it came at a bad time since I was planning on buckling down and getting some things done. But I figured I could work my way through the blocked sinuses and fatigue. Quite frankly, I had a lot of shit to do and only 24 hours in a day, so yeah, I couldn’t afford to let a mere wimpy cold get in the way. It wasn’t something that could stop a fella from pumping out a blog post or a drawing or two, right? Continue reading Motivational Leaking
About 16 or so years ago (yes, I’m ancient), I actually started writing a novel. Or maybe you’re just supposed to call it a book. I feel bad calling any attempt I made a novel. At any rate, I wrote a few chapters and showed them to my college english professor at the time. She seemed to think I had some promise. Or maybe she was just blowing smoke up my ass. I’ve got literally no way of knowing. When I showed those same chapters to a friend, they were very critical of it. And although I had put so much effort into it, I kinda just… stopped.
